Other comments: A lot has happened while in my foster home. I have a new friend named Clarence who will have to be adopted with me. We have become bonded and become very upset when we can’t see each other. We also have an open door policy on our cage. So all day we fly around the little bird room exploring and visiting all of our parakeet friends. We just walk around on top of their cages but don’t bother them. Once in a while we will have chatty conversations with them but in a friendly hello neighbor kind of way. My foster moms have all kinds of things hanging for us to play with so we are busy birds and really good at entertaining ourselves. I love being on the play stands checking out the toys and looking out the window.
I love veggies and will hop up on the feeding tray full of bowls before my foster mom has a chance to get it to the cages. I think it is yummy stuff more so than seed.
We would like to be adopted into a home where we can continue to be free flighted so no cats or small children who might forget to close a door. I am such a busy bird playing that hanging with the humans in the room is not a priority. But I think with lots of millet which I love that could change quickly. I will eat it right out of your hand I love it so much. I am fun to watch and so pretty when I fly. Email EBR if you are interested in two “work in progress” birds who just want to be loved for our fun personalities…
