Other comments: Odi is part of the Foster-In-Place program and will remain in her home until an adopter is found. From her owner: "Odi is a fluffy blue bundle of delight, with big black eyes that will melt your heart. At a meagre 2.5 years old, she is sweet as can be, with a love for neck scritches, mutual preening (daily cuticle checks are standard) and corn in any form.
Odi has been my sweet companion for two years, but with a transition at work resulting in a heavy travel schedule, I have felt over the last 6 months like she is getting far from the attention she deserves, and her training has lapsed. In this time frame she has also taken up plucking, which has transformed her from a blue fluff ball to a downy grey fluff ball. The vet has evaluated the situation and it is most likely due to a frustrated mating instinct, as her mate (me) cannot provide the TLC she craves.
I think Odi would do very well with a family who is willing to take the time to gradually introduce another birdy to her with whom she can bond and share the company of. Currently she is very bonded to me, and wants nothing more than to be on my shoulder at all times. She loves to eat dinner with her flock (me), her favorite evening ritual is eating a lettuce leaf from my salad out of one hand while I shovel down my own dinner with the other hand. She is passionate about the destruction of all paper products namely paper towels, Kleenex and receipts, and shredding job well done always leaves her peeping with glee. You will know she is utterly content when you hear her grinding her beak while snuggled up under your hair. "
